Kasterborous have published an article on us, with an interview to follow.
Pop over and have a read!

Den of Geek have posted an article written by our very own Alasdair Shaw.
Have a read.

Also, we've opened up a little shop on site.
Anything ordered through our little shop goes towards supporting the DWRS.

We have a forum now.
Please feel free to come in and have a look around. We shall be developing it over the next few weeks and would appreciate any and all feedback.

You may have noticed the odd banner for other websites at the bottom of certain pages. These have been provided by the Doctor Who Banner Exchange Program and in each time you click on one of these banners then a banner for the DWRS appears on one of the exchanges websites.
So, want to help spread the word? Then get clicking!

When it started the DWRS was just me, but in recent months and weeks it's grown and taken on board several new faces to help with the running.

Jesse Lax has been helping for quite a while now. Initially he came on board to offer some help with our logo, but since then has refused to stop working on designs for the site. Therefore it's my great pleasure to welcome Jesse officially onto the team. I'm pretty excited about the new themes Jesse has been working on for the site.

Greig Byrne has been loitering on the edges of the DWRS for some months, but in the last few weeks has come fully into the fold. Greig will be doing some IT management for us as well as working his way through the Doctor Who books, starting with the New Adventures, and letting us know what he thinks. You  may have read Greig's work before in the sports section of the Herald

Hector van Bismark has chosen to involve himself in the site and has promised us some interesting content to follow in the coming months.
We remain as curious as you do...

Going over the Lance Parkin page I realised that there were 8 books in total. Far too many for a single collection I'm afraid.
So, time to whittle it down to 4 or 5. I've posted a form so you can let me know what you think I should keep. It'll be open for the next fortnight.

We've misplaced our cover artist.
If you fancy throwing your name into the ring for consideration then please feel free to Email us at [email protected].
Sadly this is a voluntary and unpaid position.

Oh, and reprints are coming. Have you pre-ordered yet?

As some of you, particularly the Gallifrey Base users, may have noticed there are a selection of Doctor Who books being listed on Amazon and the Waterstones website for pre-order, with a release date of March 2011.

These books are:

Father Time by Lance Parkin
The Infinity Doctors by Lance Parkin
The Gallifrey Chronicles by Lance Parkin

Trading Futures by Lance Parkin
Blue Box by Kate Orman
The Year Of Intelligent Tigers by Kate Orman
Unnatural History by Kate Orman and Jonathan Blum
Seeing I by Jonathan Blum and Kate Orman
Vampire Science by Jonathan Blum and Kate Orman
So Vile A Sin by Kate Orman and Ben Aaronovitch

Speculation ran wild for months before Lance Parkin confirmed on Gallifrey Base that his books were being re-released.
No other authors have stepped forward with a statement at this time so it's hard to say what the status is with the Non-Lance Parkin titles, especially has some titles have disappeared over the last few weeks.
So, what do we do now?
Now we place our pre-orders, we visit the Random House website and tell them how happy we are about these reprints, we tell them about all the other reprints we want, we point them in the direction of this website.
We make a noise! We need to be heard!
If these reprints fail to sell there will not be others

Well actually it's a logo full stop.
It's kindly been designed by Jesse of AHiL designs.
And since I don't know how to stick a picture in the news posts you can find it on the About page and it'll soon be splashed all over the site.

I should point out though that it's not the finished article. Jesse was kind enough to provide several designs and asked which elements of each I prefered. The current logo is my clumsy attempt to join them all together in Paint. I'm sure Jesse will have a much more professional version with us soon.

Updates to the site are progressing slowly but surely.
I've added a page for Paul Cornell and Justin Richards collections.
I've also added an About page featuring a draft of our soon to be new logo.
There are a few other little things that need tweaked and then our major project kicks off: Raising awareness of the forthcoming Reprints from the BBC throughout Whodom.
